It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision to go digital for our 2021 event. As a festival we have worked tirelessly with our artists and Bridlington Spa to ensure a safe and secure in person event for this year however, the recent government announcement has meant that this is no longer viable for our timescales.
We can reveal that an online programme of creativity and activities are underway and will be unveiled very soon with an additional 'ArtWaves spin off' set to be staged in the summer alongside the independent galleries of Bridlington.
This is not the way we wanted to deliver the event but we're hopeful that our artists can inspire you to get creative still and explore the offerings.
Bookable online workshops will be staged throughout the week 1st - 7th March with our bulk of free online programming taking place on the 6th and 7th March.
Please don't forget our Visual Art Trail and a new Environmental Monster trail that will still be in place to explore in person around Bridlington.
Bridlington Spa Box Office will be in touch with all ticket holders about the changes to workshops and the festival is liaising directly with exhibitors on these changes.
This is not how we wanted to start the year but like many events across the country we hope that you will support us, our artists and the arts more generally.
Further updates will be released in due course.
